"September's Golden Hour" The Great Egret

A treat for bird-lovers. This Great Egret is a part of my 'Birds of the Seasons" series which I exhibited at the Brodhead Creek Heritage Center in East Stroudsburg, PA. 

The golden colors of the first signs of fall are so beautiful in the late afternoon light during the Golden Hour, when everything is illuminated by the warmth and light. This Great Egret is an amazing example of the birds's unmatched grace and elegance. Its wide luminous majestic wings pick up the glowing light which almost helps to lift it up and ascend into the sunset sky.

Lightfast colors have amazing archival quality and will last for hundreds of years. Painted in traditional oil technique with multiple layers to create an iconic luminosity effect.
